This summer, we’re inviting children in the UK aged 6-12 to take part in our exciting Summer Writing Challenge.
It’s time to get creative, write a story, and win amazing prizes!
How to Enter:
- Enter your details: At the bottom of this page to register your entry.
- Choose a page from your Story Blocks Journal®
- Don’t have a Story Blocks Journal? Buy a copy here or download and print this free Story Starter.
- Write Your Story: Use your imagination to create an exciting and original story!
- Submit Your Story: Once you’re done, simply scan the QR code on your Story Blocks Journal page to submit your story for a chance to win!

Judging Criteria:
We’ll be judging based on creativity, imagination, and how well you bring the story to life. Here’s what we’ll focus on:
Creativity & Originality: Did you bring fresh ideas or an interesting twist to the Story Starter?
Imagination: How well did you create an exciting world with detailed characters and settings?
Structure & Flow: Was your story well-structured with a clear beginning, middle, and end?
Writing Style: Did you use descriptive language to create vivid scenes and bring your characters to life?
Effort & Enthusiasm: Did your story show enthusiasm and effort, making it fun to read?
Remember:
We’re judging based on imagination, creativity, and how well the Story Starter is used, so don’t worry about spelling or grammar - just have fun and let your creativity shine! ✨
The stories must be original - we want to read your unique take on the Story Starter.
